Building the data-driven public sector

Cobey Errett is a Solution Engineer at Microsoft Canada, where he serves as a trusted technical advisor to Canadian Federal Government departments navigating the shift to modern cloud data platforms. With a deep specialization in Microsoft Fabric, Cobey operates at the intersection of architecture, strategy, and execution — partnering with departments to design and validate solutions that are technically sound, security-conscious, and built for the realities of the Government of Canada.

Known for translating highly complex platform capabilities into clear executive narratives, Cobey removes the technical blockers that prevent departments from moving forward. From responding to RFPs and leading proof-of-concept engagements to conducting architecture reviews and shaping data strategy, he brings both the depth and the clarity that public sector leaders need to make confident technology decisions.

Based in Arnprior, Ontario on the Ottawa River, Cobey brings a local perspective to national challenges. When he's not helping departments build their data future, you'll find him on the golf course or the ski hill — occasionally taking lessons from his son Cooper at Pakenham.

Beyond the Office

First and foremost, Cobey is a family man. He lives in Arnprior, Ontario — on the Ottawa River — with his partner Carolynn, their two sons Cooper and Peyton, and the real boss of the household: Bowser, a 140-pound Cane Corso who is absolutely convinced he's a lap dog. Outside of family time, Cobey is an avid golfer and skier — sometimes both in the same day. Yes, really.
